There’s something undeniably special about a love story that begins with instant connection, and for our LJM Real Bride Hope and her husband Dillon, that connection was clear from the very start. The two met on Hinge in September 2022, quickly moving to nonstop texting and counting down the days until their first date. Their excitement couldn’t wait — what was originally planned for a Friday turned into an earlier meet-up that Tuesday, September 20.
Their first date took place at Antiques on High in Columbus over espresso martinis and effortless conversation. The night ended with their first kiss, and as Hope shares, she knew in that moment that Dillon was the one she wanted to spend forever with.
Fast forward to August 23, 2024, a day that felt ordinary in the best way. The couple spent the morning getting breakfast, followed by an afternoon browsing antique malls and enjoying each other’s company. That evening, Dillon had plans for dinner at a chic Italian restaurant, but before they ever made it out the door, he completely surprised Hope by proposing in their kitchen. Though she had a feeling a proposal was coming soon (especially with an upcoming trip to Lake Tahoe), she never expected it to happen in such an intimate and meaningful place: their first home together. Hope recounts, “… that’s exactly who he is. He couldn’t wait any longer and was so excited.”

With a wedding date set for November 22, 2025, Hope began planning a day that felt true to her vision. Living in Columbus, she had long admired La Jeune Mariee — driving past the boutique in Grandview and hearing glowing reviews from friends who had found their dream bridal gowns there. When it came time to shop, it felt like the natural choice.
Hope had always envisioned herself in a gown by Netta BenShabu, and when she discovered that La Jeune Mariee was the only boutique in Ohio to carry the designer, everything seemed to fall into place. Even better? The exact gown she had fallen in love with online, Teddy by Netta BenShabu, was available for her appointment. Teddy is a fitted, lace gown featuring exposed corsetry and soft, romantic lace sleeves.

Working with stylists Christine and Madison, Hope tried on Teddy first, and she and her mom were immediately in tears, both knowing it was something special. Though she explored a few additional options, it was clear from the beginning: Teddy was the one.

When it came to planning the rest of their wedding, Hope found the most joy in sharing the experience with her mom and sister, who served as her matron and maid of honor. Together, they brought her vision to life, creating memories she’ll cherish forever. Reflecting on the planning process, Hope encourages future brides to trust that everything will come together, even in moments when it feels overwhelming. With the support of loved ones and a focus on what truly matters, the end result will be exactly as it’s meant to be.

The couple chose to celebrate their wedding at The Ellis, an intimate venue recommended by a friend. The space offered an all-inclusive experience that made planning seamless for the busy couple. From the moment they toured, they knew it was the perfect fit for their smaller guest list and overall vision.
One of the standout elements of Hope and Dillon’s wedding day was the florals by Fiori Florals, from the floral arch to the hanging installations and tablescapes. Hope admits that even now, they revisit their wedding gallery just to admire how stunning everything looked. The florals truly transformed the space and brought her Pinterest-inspired vision to life.

Despite a few nerves leading up to the ceremony, everything melted away the moment Hope saw Dillon at the end of the aisle. Locking eyes with him and seeing the emotion in his face became her most cherished memory from the day. It was a powerful reminder of what the entire celebration was about: their love.

We feel so lucky to have been part of Hope’s journey to “yes” and her unforgettable wedding day. Every LJM bride brings her own story, style, and spirit into our boutique and Hope’s is one we won’t soon forget.
