Some love stories begin when you least expect them. For Shea and Samuel, it all started at an engagement party celebrating two people they both loved.
The pair met in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, while celebrating the engagement of Samuel’s sister, Audrey and Shea’s neighbor, Gregory. What they thought would be just a passing conversation at the party turned out to be the first glimpse of the life they would build together. After instantly hitting it off, Samuel asked Shea on a date the very next day, and from there, their story unfolded.
After years together, what Shea thought would be an ordinary day celebrating her brother’s birthday with family in Columbus turned into one of the most unforgettable days of her life. Little did she know, Samuel had been planning a celebration of an entirely different kind.
He brought Shea to the Grandview Theater, where the marquee displayed “Shea, will you marry me? – Sam”
Completely caught off guard, Shea said YES but Samuel wasn’t finished with his surprises just yet! Thinking they were finally headed to dinner with her family to celebrate her brothers birthday, the newly engaged couple arrived at Watershed Distillery to find their closest friends had gathered to celebrate their exciting news.
When it came time to find her wedding dress, Shea knew La Jeune Mariee was where she wanted to shop. From the moment she stepped into the boutique, the experience was everything she had hoped for. “They made me feel seen and special in everything I tried on. They never pressured me, and they knew as soon as I knew I found the one!”
Shea ultimately said “yes” to Alyne Maci, a gown that perfectly reflected the timeless vision she had imagined from the very beginning. Clean, classic, and effortlessly elegant, it was everything she had pictured herself wearing on her wedding day. While some brides are surprised by the gown they fall in love with, Shea’s choice affirmed what she’d known all along, making her “yes” feel all the more exciting.
On July 12, 2025, Shea and Samuel exchanged vows at The Athletic Club of Columbus, creating a celebration that was elegant, classic, and designed to stand the test of time. “I wanted something that I could look back on 30 years from now and it would still be as classy as ever. I wanted a timeless affair that we would never forget!”
Throughout the planning process, Shea found the most joy in watching her vision come to life, one thoughtful detail at a time. From the larger design decisions to the smallest finishing touches, she believed those meaningful elements were what made the celebration feel so personal and memorable. While wedding planning can often feel overwhelming, Shea embraced every part of the experience, finding excitement in seeing months of preparation transform into one unforgettable day.
Every couple has a favorite moment from their wedding day, and for Shea and Samuel, it was watching the dance floor come alive. Surrounded by the people they love most, the celebration was filled with endless energy, laughter, and memories they’ll cherish for years to come. One of Shea’s favorite details was her bouquet of cascading white orchids, a timeless choice that beautifully complemented the classic aesthetic she envisioned from the very beginning. Every element of the day reflected the couple’s elegant style and the intentionality behind each decision.
