Our beautiful LJM Real Bride Kim married her now-husband Colin on a beautiful October day! The two met online, and dated long distance for almost a year before Colin moved to Columbus in March of 2025. A few months later in June of 2025, Kim shares that Colin popped the question at the Franklin Park Conservatory in the Celebration Garden.
Kim shares that they walked out to the garden, and despite it being a busy day, they managed to sneak a moment where it was just the two of them. Colin got down on one knee and asked Kim to marry him, creating a private and unforgettable moment for the couple! When we asked Kim if she was expecting for Colin to propose that day, she shared that she had a feeling, since they had always celebrated their anniversary on the 28th, the day they shared a date at Franklin Park Conservatory.
After saying yes to her future husband, Kim began planning their elopement. Our gorgeous bride shares that she chose to shop with La Jeune Mariee because of our Little White Dress Event, knowing that she wanted to opt for a short bridal gown.
When Kim arrived, she worked with our expert stylist Annmarie, and said yes to By Watters Hayworth; a gorgeous bridal mini with delicate draping throughout the silhouette and unforgettable lace sleeves + neckline. We love the look that Kim went for, and she looked absolutely stunning on her elopement wedding day!
Since Kim + Colin opted for an elopement, Kim shares that she only vendor she really needed was a photographer, and made the decision to add a content creator for the day as well. Lindzy Lee Photography and Dania of Wedding Days with Dania, helped bring Kim’s vision to life with the memories and moments their captured on this special day. They even got to end the night by watching a recap video from their elopement, courtesy of Dania!
In addition to her photographer and content creator, Kim also shared that her best friend officiated their ceremony and made Kim’s bridal bouquet. She landed on blush tones with a few pops of deep reds, which we’re obsessed, especially for an October wedding day!
When the time came for Kim + Colin to say ‘I do’ and the Ohio Statehouse, the weather was absolutely perfect, making it all the more special for the newlyweds. Kim’s favorite memory from their day came before the ceremony, though, when Kim and Colin shared a first look at their apartment, and shares that of course their first kiss as husband and wife was one of her favorite moments as well!
As Kim reflects on her elopement at the Ohio Statehouse, she shares that she did not take any inspiration from anyone else’s wedding day, following what she truly loved. Her advice to future brides aligns with that sentiment, sharing that the most important thing is what YOU love, not what anyone else wants, and we couldn’t agree more!
