Inspired by Sofia Richie’s wedding day look, the bride wore Wtoo by Watters Sela – a timeless, lace halter neck gown – for her summertime Jeffrey Mansion Wedding.
Our beautiful LJM Real Bride Maggie, a Lawyer, met her now-husband Jack, a Lobbyist, on Hinge. Our bride shares that after dating, Jack surprised her on a girls’ trip with her mom in Rosemary Beach and proposed! She was completely surprised by the engagement – “I didn’t even know he had a ring.”
“He flew down and coordinated with my mom to surprise me on the beach, it was so unexpected and absolutely a dream come true!”
After saying yes, it was time to start planning a wedding! Maggie knew she wanted to shop at La Jeune Mariee after being inspired by Sofia Richie’s bridal look and finding a similar vibe from one of our upcoming Trunk Shows at the time. “I immediately booked! It ended up being my gown.” Maggie made the look her own by adding an overskirt, giving her a two-in-one look from ceremony to reception!
When it came time to add accessories to her look at Maggie’s Meet the Gown Appointment, she selected the Toni Federici Constance veil – a classic addition to her timeless and elegant look!
Maggie shared that shopping for her wedding dress with our expert stylists was one of her favorite parts of planning the big day! Additionally, she considers herself a details girl, and told us that she loved being able to hand pick every little detail and personal touch. “…seeing it all come to life was so so fun. I loved being able to be creative!” On the other hand, our bride shared that selecting and finalizing the seating chart was her least favorite part.
While planning and selecting vendors, Maggie utilized recommendations from friends and family, also referencing their Instagram pages to show her their past work. “Truly every vendor was so fantastic and I would recommend them all!! Nina was absolutely instrumental in bringing my vision to life. And Belinda’s photos are now my most prized possession! Those memories are priceless and she captured them so beautifully.”
After months of planning, the big day was finally here! Maggie let us know that she was a bit nervous heading into ceremony time, as she was planning on and hoping for a sunny day, since the wedding was fully outdoors.
“It was literally the perfect day. I took a gamble by setting my heart on a fully outdoor wedding ceremony to utilize the grand staircase behind Jeffrey Mansion for the ceremony, but God made it happen and it was perfect weather! & I got my grand entrance moment.”
Maggie shares that this grand entrance ended up being her favorite wedding day memory – walking arm-in-arm with her mother to marry the man of her dreams. Our bride tells us it was an absolutely magical moment she’ll never forget!
Among the details she brought to life for her wedding day, one of Maggie’s favorites were her custom Golden Goose sneakers, featuring her new last name, monogram and wedding date. She changed into them after dinner to dance the night away, and loves the memories they hold when she wears them day-to-day now!
As Maggie looked back on her wedding day, she shared advice for future LJM Real Brides – to enjoy the process of planning. “This is hard if you love immediate gratification like I do and want to see everything come together ASAP, but the end result is worth the wait and the work to get there!”
