Appointment Fee

Hello to our La Jeune Mariee Family,

We wanted to inform you of a recent policy change regarding future appointments. While this change is becoming more widespread in our industry, we are aware it may seem untraditional to some, which is why we want to communicate the WHY behind our decision.

Beginning September 15th, 2020, La Jeune Mariee will charge a $50 appointment fee.  This is not to be confused with a cancellation fee.  We currently offer all of our new bridal appointments a 2 hour block of time with a highly trained bridal stylist in a beautiful, boutique setting with one of the widest selections of designers and styles to try on in the Midwest.  We are confident in the experience that we provide our clientele and trust that those who want the ultimate in bridal gown shopping will understand and plan accordingly when deciding to schedule an appointment at La Jeune Mariee.

With that being said, we want to be completely transparent as to how this decision took shape.  COVID is not entirely to blame, but it’s a great place to start.  The safety of our staff and clients is always our first priority, and since opening back up, we have had a tremendous amount of requests for appointments.  Since we’ve remained safe and attempted to stagger our appointment times and the amount of guests brides may bring, this has unfortunately not allowed us to accommodate everyone.  With many of the appointments not bringing the ultimate decision makers, pre-shopping too far out from the big day or using the time for exploratory purposes, it has unfortunately lead to many that are ready to SAY YES without the opportunity to shop with us.

Our solution of charging the $50 fee for the appointment isn’t to push anyone away but to remind brides that shopping for their wedding gown, quite possibly the most important garment they will ever wear, purchase and alter, be taken in the highest regard.  We recommend brides to schedule with us when the intent is truly there to say yes with your most trusted advisors and you have done the research to make you feel confident in your decision.

Do not fret if you’re ready but don’t know what you are looking for or what style is right for you! We are here to help even before you step foot into the boutique.  Our stylists are trained for several months prior to taking their first appointment and continuously throughout their tenure with La Jeune Mariee.  Our combined experience in working in bridal is over 40 years.  We are happy to pre-shop over the phone, pour over your Pinterest board and when all else fails, have been known to refer brides to other boutiques when we just don’t have what’s going to make you swoon!  Our ultimate goal is to make you confident in your say yes moment!
